Have fun Steve, but don't hurry back just for the TOC. The lake may be a smallmouth lake...... :-)

I'm not sure I can pick one over the other. Each Pro was a unique experience. Day 1: Edwin Evers has a confident, commanding personality, that is focused on visual cues. He is a sight fishermen with an exceptional set of eyes and he used that vision to fish shallow and spot fish to target. We traveled north in his great riding Z21 Nitro/250 Merc/dual Power Pole equipped boat. Never being more then 50 feet from shore. By paralleling the shore, at 60+, he avoided the larger waves from a SSW wind and quickly scouted the shore for potential targets and irregularities to fish. He started with 10 rods on the deck, which soon grew to 14. Of the 14, he used 1 90% of the time. A 4.5" ghost color Top Self swimbait. The interesting part is he never caught a fish on the bait. The fish would follow to within sight of the boat and he would pitch a tube, hair jig, or drop shot to the fish. All but an hour of the day did he fish deeper then 5 feet. He had three fish the first day. Super nice guy. In the Bassmaster Classic this coming March. Day 2: Jordan Lee is a former College team qualifier that is on his rookie year. He's a smart, young man that loves speed. He also is a whiz with Lowrance HDS equipment. Stopping at every buoy between the ship channel and Ephraim, he motored slowly with his face glued to the HDS12. Down scan, side scan, sonar and GPS all used to pinpoint fish before dropping a lure. Once spotted, he fished a drop shot straight down on the fish. He weighed 15 lbs in five fish. All in all he had 10 keepers for the day. North winds at 10 to 15 tested the limits of his 20' Legend and my butt. Look for J Lee to be a comer on the circuit. In the Bassmaster Classic this coming March. Day 3: Brent Ehrler was awarded Rookie of the Year title for his outstanding first year fishing with B.A.S.S yesterday in Sturgeon Bay. He is far from being a rookie however. He's been fishing the FLW circuit for ten years and can hold his own with the Elite Pros from what I saw on Sunday. Equipped with a 520C Ranger/Merc 250/Hummingbird electronics, he has the most diverse fishing style. We started and ended with 6 poles on the deck. Drop shot, wacky rig, tube, 2 swim baits and a jerk bait. He fished shorelines, 25'deep areas and weeds. Of the 25 bass that he caught, only 4 measured. That would most likely have been a solid limit if the Lower unit on his Merc hadn't failed 5 minutes after take-off. He managed to get some fishing time in before the Merc service team arrived and changed the lower unit, but really didn't get serious until 10 am. Unlike Evers large swim bait, Ehrler fished a small swim bait on the shoreline. It certainly caught fish, but not the big ones for the most part. Limited by the motor problems, the drop shot pattern Brent planned on fishing was limited to one spot, that was also loaded with small bass. He will definitely be on my fantasy fishing team for next year. In the Bassmaster Classic this coming March.
Who did I enjoy the most? Myself. Can't wait to do it again.
