The launch site is off South St. Follow the detour signs thru Ripon until you intersect with Cty A. Turn right on A and follow it to Green Lake streets. Turn left on South St and follow to the city park just beyond Mill st. Launch will be on your left by the marina. Call Steve if you have questions.

Another regular season came to a close yesterday on Big Green. A chunk of the drama got removed from the day when Steve and Clyde got paired together, as they were in 1st and 2nd place in the standings. Clyde got the news he wouldn't be able to pass Steve and take sole possession of 1st place and title of "Mr. Bass" for 2014. But you'd be mistaken if you assumed that meant either one of them felt they could coast, or that it would've drained any competiveness. In fact they made an awesome team and won the event with a limit weighing 17.73. Not far behind them in 2nd was Virgil. He was facing the proposition of missing the TOC, as he was in 12th place going into the day. He took care of that with ease, as he boated a beautiful limit of smallies by himself. His fish weighed 11.44 x 1.5 = 17.16. Insuring he didn't miss the cut as well was Rudy. He and John S. took 3rd with a 12.74 lb limit. Big bass was a 5.09 largemouth caught by Brad. That makes two 5+ pounders on the year for him. Total fish were 35 for 96.04 lbs. Our average fish was closer to 3 lbs, and it made for an exciting day catching a better quality fish then we have been. Congrats to everyone for a great effort on a beautiful body of water. FVBC proved we're a fun club and competitive at the same time
Standings will be updated soon and posted.
