Madison Chain proved to be a tough body(s) of water for the club this weekend. There didn't seem to be any pattern that proved to produce numbers of fish. Well, quality fish at least.... or even keepers. Plenty of small fish had some guys wishing there was still a 12" size limit
Day one saw Clyde and Scott bring in four fish for 7.28 lbs to take third place. Second went to Dan and Brian. They boated 4 fish weighing 9.28 lbs, along with big bass at 3.75 lbs. John took first place fishing alone. He filled his livewell with the only limit. His four weighed 13.05 with the 1.5x multiplier. Totals on day one were 17 bass for 39.98 lbs.
Day two was tougher, as it usually seems to be. It was certainly windier, and sunnier. Coming in third place with 5.29 lbs and three fish were Clyde and Dan. Second place was earned by John and Pete. They boated three fish for 5.5 lbs. Winning the day were Brian and Steve. They managed to get four fish weighing 7.94 lbs into the boat. They also won the big bass pot with a 2.56 pounder, because Greg and guest declined to enter. They caught a 3.05 pounder. Total for the day was 14 bass for 26.94 lbs.
Everything seemed to catch some fish: Jigs, worms, tubes, frogs, swim jigs, etc... Hopefully Winnebago treats us better!!
