Well, Shawano is behind us (nice day tho tough for most) and Madison is three weeks away. Since I missed the meeting but am fishing it, what are the specifics regarding the landing and the times each day. I know I'm with Pete the first day.
Also, since David Button and I are paired for the second day and are in need of a boat, I'm thinking it's pretty tough to borrow one (understandably difficult for anyone to loan one out and even, for me at least, to be comfortable taking on the responsibility for someone else's equipment....unless, of course, it were a relative). As we consider options, I'm wondering if it would be kosher to split our pairing if, say, each of us could come up with someone with a boat that wants to fish that day and they each would become our guest (with their boat). That way, they'd be in control of their equipment and we would each pay their entry fee (late, obviously) and then be able to fish. Don't know if this could all happen but it would seem much more plausible to pursue than actually borrowing a boat.
So, before going this route, I need to have clarification a.s.a.p. if this idea would pass muster or not. Who decides???
Thanks. Rudy

Club will be launching from Lake Farm Cty Park on the NW corner of Lake Waubesa both days. Saturday times 6-3:30 pm. Sunday times 6-2:00 pm.
Your question about who has authority to allow splitting the pairing and both bring quests is an interesting one. After reviewing the by-laws it would appear the tournament director is in charge of that event. I took the liberty to ask him if you and Dave agreed and could both recruit guests for the day, would it be OK. He said yes it would be fine. If it happens, this would count as a guest and you would need to pay accordingly. Let me know if this is the plan or you find a boat to use with Button.

If the guys split to find boats and use guest. Then they could be drawn as a team in the future correct!

Yeah, I would think they could be paired again in the future.

I have commented to this post on IN NEED OF A BOAT but I will give it another go here as well. The original question was about splitting non-boater pairing with guests. Splitting up a drawn team with another drawn team is not an acceptable method of solving the non-boater pairing. Our by-laws state that guests can not be club members. Non-boaters have the responsibility of finding a boat in order to fish a club tournament. A similar reading of the by-laws would apply to declaring a guest prior to pairing. That member is obligated to fish with a guest for that tournament/s even if there guest backs out. That person needs to find another guest.
