Pigeon Lake challenged the five teams who decided to give it a go Saturday. Bass were mostly spawned out it seems. There were still some fish on beds, but they were way up shallow and usually underneath trees, overhanging brush, or surface debris. Suffice to say they were difficult to see and target. Most fish were caught on jigs/plastics with at least one coming on a frog. In third were Greg and John, coming in with three fish for 5.65 lbs. Second went to Rudy and Corey. They had five fish for 9.6 lbs. Winning the whole thing was Ty and Clyde. They boated five fish weighing 12.64 lbs, including the big bass for 4.19 lbs. Clyde takes over big bass of the year with that one. Way to go Clyde and Ty, and good job to everyone making the effort to fish a relatively unknown lake. Total for the five boats was 15 bass for 31.83 lbs.

Sounds like a tough day overall. Went to the Bay with Jahnke and his grandson Alex. Managed to boat a dozen decent smallmouth. Still looking for that 6 pounder.
