Was out on Monday for about an hour and had 2 sm about that size. I had to make sure the boat worked before my trip to Kentucky Lake this Friday. Good thing I went. A main power breaker was off, so nothing worked. I went back home and found the problem. Then went back and did some fishing. Water was 41-42. Windy.

Just returned from Kentucky Lake with a new personal best Largemouth bass. A week ago my friend Bob Cottrell and me boated a 10 lbs 10 oz, 5 lb 10 oz and two 4 lb 14 oz bass on one submerged Island in the middle of a bay. Also caught a number of other bass in the 3 lb range that same afternoon. The 10 lb 10 oz is now my new profile shot. We had a great week with lots of challenging weather. Windy for most of the week with two rain storms. We managed to boat a couple dozen bass each day with a few very large sheephead along the way. Water was mostly 57-60 degrees all week. But by Friday the back bays warmed to 64 and the bass had begun to move shallow to spawn. By this week they should be real close to spawning. On one of the windy day we made a trip to the Cumberland River and Lake Barclay. Had pretty good luck fishing the back waters close to shore. Great trip overall. Steve
