It's a 1991 35 horse power with a tiller handle for my 14 ft aluminum boat. Any tips or things to look for when buying a motor would be great. don' have much experience and my last motor i bought had more problems than I cared to deal with. any info would b appreciated Thanks!

I am not sure i ever heard of a mercury force.Iam a little bit late!Stay away from motors with banged up skags or props, means motor was not taken care of .Just my thoughts!!!!

I believe Mercury bought Chrisler outboards and combined the name. Basically a Chrisler design. No idea if it is any good or one can get parts.

Steve's right on - Chrysler design. It all depends on how well it was maintained.

They tend to be underpowered for their rating. Keep up on the maintenance as they can have ignition issues. Make sure you use non ethanol gas and good 2 cycle oil.Keep plugs fresh.
